Man Injured in Car Crash on I-10 in Houston

One Seriously Injured in Houston Pedestrian Accident on I-10 West and Freeport Street

Houston, Texas (April 25, 2023) – One person was seriously injured early Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Houston’s East Side, according to the deputies.

The crash happened around 1:30 a.m., April 24, on I-10 West and Freeport Street.

Deputies said an SUV was broken down in one of the moving lanes when the driver of a pickup truck did not see the SUV and rear-ended it while the driver was still inside.

The driver was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The pickup truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed down I-10 westbound for about three hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
