San Antonio, Texas (October 9, 2023) – A man in his 80s was injured early Saturday morning in a three-vehicle crash in San Antonio, according to the police.

The crash happened on September 7, in the 10000 block of Westwood Loop at the intersection of Culebra.

Police said the man was driving a Ram 3500 pulling a travel trailer when his vehicle began to veer into the grass shoulder and crashed into two other vehicles at the intersection.

The truck continued moving through the intersection until it crashed into a utility pole, where it stopped.

The man was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Further investigation concluded the man suffered a medical episode, which caused the erratic driving.

The conditions of the other two drivers were not disclosed.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
