Man Dies in Houston Car Crash near Lee Road and Edward Drive

Houston, Texas (July 21, 2019) – A man was killed Saturday evening in a traffic accident in Houston, authorities said.

The fatal crash happened near Lee Road and Edward Drive on Saturday, July 20.

According to the authorities, a pickup truck was heading eastbound on Edward Drive when the driver failed to yield to the right of way at a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle that was traveling on Lee Road.

The male driver of the second vehicle was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The two occupants of the pickup truck fled the scene after the crash. They were found shortly after with minor injuries.

No further details were immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
