John Caillouette Killed in Hit-and-Run on Wegner Road in Comal County

John Caillouette Killed in Comal County Bicycle Accident on Wegner Road near Lost Trail

Comal County, Texas – A cyclist was killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Comal County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 1:00 a.m., December 10, on Wegner Road near Lost Trail.

DPS said a cyclist was hit by a vehicle in the eastbound lane. The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

Law enforcement officials have not released the victim’s name, but a fundraiser on Gofundme identifies the cyclist as 52-year-old John Carroll Caillouette Jr.

The authorities are looking for the suspect.

The DPS is investigating the crash. Anyone with any information including auto body shop owners and employees is asked to call 210-531-2280.
