41-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on South Freeway in Houston

41-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on South Freeway 

Houston, Texas (December 15, 2022) – According to the police, a 41-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Houston,

The deadly accident happened around 4:35 a.m., December 11, in the 3200 block of South Freeway (State Highway 288).

Police said the man was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of the connector ramp from State Highway 288 to North U.S. Highway 59 when he was struck by a black Ford Fiesta.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver, a 63-year-old man, remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. He was questioned and released.

The driver indicated an unknown vehicle struck the man after the initial crash and fled the scene.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information on the second vehicle or its driver is urged to contact the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division at 713-247-4072.
