Three Hospitalized After Houston Multi-Vehicle Crash on Little York Overpass at North Freeway

Houston, Texas (May 22, 2020) – Three people were injured Thursday night after their truck flew off an overpass in Houston, according to police.

The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. May 21, in the northbound lanes on the Little York overpass at North Freeway.

Police said two vehicles were racing on the North Freeway, weaving in and out of traffic, when they caused a truck to collide with two other vehicles.

The truck flew off the overpass following the impact. One of the other two vehicles caught fire. The two racing vehicles fled the scene.

Good Samaritans were able to pull a man and an infant from the truck.

Firefighters had to extricate a woman from the truck.

The three victims were taken to a local hospital. The woman had head injuries, while her husband and the infant were transported for evaluation.

No other injuries were reported.

The police are investigating the crash.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
