Brandy Chappa Killed in Garbage Truck Crash on Pine Street at Huckleberry Street in Abilene

Brandy Chappa Killed, Man Injured in Abilene Garbage Truck Crash on Pine Street at Huckleberry Street

Abilene, Texas (October 4, 2020) – A woman was killed, and a man was injured on Friday in a two-vehicle crash in north Abilene, according to police.

The fatal crash happened on October 2, in the 3600 block of Pine Street at the intersection of Huckleberry Street.

Police said a car was traveling on Huckleberry Street when it collided with a garbage truck that was traveling on Pine Street.

One of the occupants in the car, Brandy Chappa, 30, of Abilene, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other occupant, a man, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The garbage truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
