Man Killed in Harris County Pedestrian Accident on Airline Drive near Gulf Bank Road

Harris County, Texas (November 30, 2021) – A man was killed Sunday evening in a hit-and-run accident in north Harris County, according to the deputies.

The deadly accident happened around 5:45 p.m., November 28, on Airline Drive near Gulf Bank Road.

Deputies said a man was driving a black 2012 Kia Sedona when he hit a 2018 Ford Explorer, jumped the median, and hit a man who was selling flowers.

The Kia driver attempted to flee the scene on foot but was caught by an off-duty police officer who was working an extra job at a nearby flea market.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he later died. His name has not been released.

The Kia driver has been charged with failure to stop and render aid.

An investigation is underway.
