Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Gulf Freeway in Houston

37-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Gulf Freeway.

Houston, Texas (April 17, 2023) – A 37-year-old man was killed last Saturday in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 11:45 p.m., April 8, in the 6000 block of the Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45).

Police said the man was crossing the northbound lanes of the freeway when he was struck by a northbound black Saturn Vue.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The Saturn driver, a 55-year-old man, remained at the scene and showed signs of impairment. He was taken to a local hospital with a medical issue unrelated to the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
