One Seriously Injured in Denton Fire Truck Crash on Interstate 35

Denton, Texas (August 26, 2021) – According to officials, one person was seriously injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash involving a fire truck in Denton.

The crash happened just after 5:00 a.m., in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35E between Mayhill Road and Texas 288.

Officials said the crash involved a fire truck and a pickup truck.

The pickup truck driver sustained serious injuries in the crash.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The crash closed the interstate for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
