Woman Killed, Man Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on Beltway 8 in Houston

One Killed and One Injured in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Beltway 8 near Westheimer Road

Houston, Texas (August 12, 2020) – A woman was killed, and a man was injured in a wrong-way crash early Wednesday morning in Houston’s west side, according to deputies.

The fatal crash happened at about 12:30 a.m. in the southbound side of Beltway 8-West near Westheimer Road.

Deputies said a woman got on the tollway heading the wrong way when she crashed head-on into a pickup truck driven by a man.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

The tollway was closed after the crash.

The Harris County deputy constables are investigating the crash.
