Maria Jasper ID’d as Victim Killed in Lubbock Crash at Highway 84 and County Road 3300

Lubbock, Texas (June 7, 2019) – Maria Jasper, 42, of Snyder, has been identified as the person who was killed early Thursday morning in a two-car accident near Slaton in Lubbock County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The deadly wreck happened just after midnight at the intersection of Highway 84 and County Road 3300.

DPS said a white SUV  struck a black pickup truck for an unknown reason at the intersection.

Jasper, who was the driver of the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, Powers, was transported to University Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
