Mario Barrios and Maurilia Paulin Killed in NW Houston Two-Vehicle Crash at Fallbrook Drive and Fairbanks North Houston Road

Houston, Texas (May 30, 2022) – Two people were killed, and five others were injured Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash in northwest Houston, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 7:30 p.m., May 29, at the intersection of Fallbrook Drive and Fairbanks North Houston Road.

Authorities said Mario Barrios, 60, was driving a white Jeep Altitude eastbound on Fallbrook Drive when he ran a red light at the intersection and was struck by a black GMC pickup truck that was traveling southbound on Fairbanks.

Barrios and his front-seat passenger, 59-year-old Maurilia Paulin, were killed in the crash.

The GMC driver and his four passengers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, where they were treated and released.

No other information was available.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the crash.
