Person Killed in North Austin Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (May 15, 2020) – A man was fatally hit by a vehicle early Friday morning in north Austin, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 2:35 a.m., on Interstate 35 between the Yager Lane and Braker Lane exits.

Police said the man was walking in the southbound lanes of I-35 when he was hit by a four-door sedan.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sedan driver remained at the scene after the accident.

The accident closed all southbound lanes. The lanes were reopened around 5:10 a.m.
