One Injured in Semi-Truck Crash on McNeil Drive in Austin

One Injured in Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on McNeil Drive at US 183

Austin, Texas (November 9, 2023) – One person was injured Wednesday night in a semi-truck crash in Northwest Austin, according to officials.

The crash happened around 8:29 p.m., November 8, in the 7300 block of McNeil Drive at the intersection of U.S. Highway 183.

Officials said a vehicle went through the metal barrier on Hwy 183 and fell onto McNeil Drive below. A semi-truck was involved in the crash.

The driver of the vehicle was extricated and transported to St. David’s Round Rock with potentially serious injuries.

A second person involved in the crash refused to go to the hospital.

No other information was available.

The crash remains under investigation.
