San Angelo, Texas – Three people were injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in San Angelo, according to a local news source.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m., April 17, at the intersection of US-277 and Grand Canal Road.

According to the report, a black Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on Grand Canal Road, while a silver Chevy Tahoe was heading northbound on US-277.

The Toyota driver failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign and pulled into the intersection, causing the Chevy to crash into the driver’s side of the Toyota.

The two people in the Toyota and the Chevy driver were taken to Shannon Medical Services with non-life-threatening injuries. The Toyota driver had to be extricated from the vehicle.

The Toyota driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
