Man Fatally Electrocuted on Gran Teton Trl in Atascocita

62-Year-Old Man Killed in Atascocita Electrocution Accident on Gran Teton Trl

Atascocita, Texas (August 27, 2020) – A 62-year-old Atascocita man was killed on Wednesday after being electrocuted in the Eagle Springs subdivision of Atascocita, according to authorities.

The accident happened on August 26, in the 12700 block of Gran Teton Trl.

Authorities said the man was trimming tree limbs near his home ahead of Hurricane Laura’s arrival when his chainsaw struck a nearby power line and he was electrocuted.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

An investigation is underway.
