Sherman, Texas (June 23, 2021) – A father of two was killed last week Wednesday in a motorcycle crash in Sherman, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened on June 16, on Texoma Parkway.

Police said 37-year-old Jeffrey Finely was riding his motorcycle when a driver pulled out and didn’t see him, resulting in a collision.

Finely, a father of 5 and 17, was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.

Most motorcycle crashes are caused by negligent drivers who don’t keep a proper lookout or fail to yield the right-of-way. Because motorcyclists are vulnerable, their injuries are usually severe, often suffering from road rash, broken bones, brain injuries, amputations, or spinal cord injuries. In some cases the accident results in death.
