Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle on Interstate 820 in Fort Worth

One Person Killed in Fort Worth Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 820

Fort Worth, Texas (August 26, 2023) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle early Friday morning on Interstate 820 in Fort Worth, police said.

The fatal crash happened at around 1:00 a.m. in the 3900 block of Northeast Loop 820.

According to the police, the pedestrian was crossing Interstate 820 when they were hit by a vehicle.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

At around 1:45 a.m., all eastbound lanes were closed at Beach Street. Drivers were to expect delays and encouraged to seek an alternate route.

As of 3:50 a.m., the eastbound lanes were reopened.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
