Justin Salcido ID’d as Teen Killed in Corpus Christi Pedestrian Crash on SPID at Everhart Road

Corpus Christi, Texas (February 11, 2019) – The teenager who died after he was hit by a vehicle in Corpus Christi early Sunday morning has been identified as Justin Miguel Salcido, 17, according to the authorities.
The incident happened at about 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 10, on SPID near Everhart Road.
Corpus Christi police said Salcido was driving a Honda Civic when it stalled along the access road near Best Buy. As Salcido and his two friends were trying to push the vehicle off the road, the Honda was hit by a passing motorist.
According to the report, Salcido was pronounced dead at the scene. The two parties who were assisting Salcido were unhurt in the crash.
No details were provided on the identity of the driver who crashed into Salcido.
Police are investigating the incident.
