Michael Gonzales Killed in Hunt County Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 30

Hunt County, Texas (December 11, 2021) – The pedestrian who was fatally hit by an 18-wheeler last week Saturday morning in Hunt County has been identified as Michael Gonzales, 21, of Greenville, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened on December 4, on westbound Interstate 30, just west of Greenville.

DPS said Gonzales was attempting to cross the interstate from the northbound to the southbound side when he was struck by a westbound 2017 truck tractor.

Gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 18-wheeler driver was uninjured in the accident.

An investigation is underway.
