Mitchell Raines Killed in Harrold Pedestrian Accident on U.S. 287

Harrold, Texas (March 23, 2023) – A man was killed Monday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Harrold, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 6:00 a.m., March 20, on U.S. 287.

DPS said a vehicle was heading southbound when it struck 76-year-old Mitchell Raines, of Harrold, and fled the scene.

Raines was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information was provided.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
