Juvenile Hospitalized after Amarillo Scooter Crash on Mitcham Drive

Amarillo, Texas (March 22, 2019) – A child was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle while riding a scooter in Amarillo on Wednesday, according to the Amarillo Police Department.
The crash occurred in the 7900 block of Mitcham Drive on Wednesday, March 20.
Police said the juvenile was riding on an electric Razor scooter when he pulled out of an alley and into the path of a two-door 2008 Honda driven by a 60-year-old man.
The juvenile sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The Amarillo Police Department is investigating the incident.
