Motorcyclist Injured in Crash with Vehicle at 28th Avenue and Washington Street in Amarillo

18-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Amarillo Motorcycle Accident at 28th Avenue and Washington Street

Amarillo, Texas (May 26, 2022) – A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a vehicle Wednesday night at an intersection in Amarillo, according to Amarillo police.

The crash was reported to the Amarillo police at around 7:25 p.m. on May 25 at the intersection of southwest 28th Avenue and Washington Street.

Police said an 18-year-old man was heading southbound on Washington Street when he hit the front of a black GMC SUV that was turning northbound from 28th Avenue onto Washington Street.

The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
