Nicholas Pimentel ID’d as Man Killed in San Antonio Crash on Culebra Road and Talley Road

San Antonio, Texas (July 29, 2022) – The man who died following a collision between an 18-wheeler and an SUV Tuesday morning in San Antonio has been identified as Nicholas Pimentel, 31, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The tragic accident occurred at about 9:13 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, at the intersection of Culebra Road and Talley Road.

Authorities said a 17-year-old girl was driving a KIA SUV westbound on Culebra Road when she attempted to make a left turn onto Talley Road on a yellow turn arrow.

The driver of an 18-wheeler truck was unable to stop in time and hit the KIA on the passenger side.

Pimentel, who was the front seat passenger in the KIA, was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen driver of the KIA was transported to University Hospital in unknown condition.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
