Two Hospitalized after Red Bird Two-Vehicle Crash on Marvin D Love Freeway near South Hampton Road
Red Bird, Texas (January 19, 2019) – Two people were seriously injured in a suspected DUI crash early Saturday morning at a Red Bird freeway, according to a local news source.
The crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on Marvin D Love Freeway near South Hampton Road.
Police said a Mitsubishi was cut off by another vehicle and it struck the center concrete wall in the HOV lane. As the Mitsubishi driver was waiting for the police to arrive a Ford Escort rear-ended his vehicle, causing it to flip over.
The Ford driver and their passenger were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police said the Ford driver might have been intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
