2 Killed, 3 Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on Esperanza Road in Dallas

Two Killed, Three Injured in Dallas Crash on Esperanza Road near Midpark Road

Dallas, Texas (May 3, 2022) – Two people were killed and three others were injured late Friday in a wrong-way collision in Far North Dallas, according to police.

The deadly crash happened at around 9:06 p.m. Friday, April 29, in the 13900 block of Esperanza Road near Midpark Road.

Police said a maroon 2009 GMC Sierra pick-up truck was heading southbound in the northbound lanes of Esperanza Road at a high rate of speed when it collided with a sports-utility vehicle.

Two juveniles were transported to a hospital, where they were declared. Their names have not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Three other patients sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital.

The pickup driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The suspect was described as a Latino man, possibly in his 40s, who was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt and pants.

Police are still looking for the hit-and-run driver.
