5 Including DPD Officer Injured in Dallas Crash on U.S. 175 (C.F. Hawn Freeway)

Dallas, Texas (July 13, 2019) – Five people including a Dallas police officer, were injured in a traffic accident early Friday morning in Dallas, according to a local news source.

The accident happened just before 4:30 a.m. July 12, on U.S. 175 (C.F. Hawn Freeway).

As per the article, two officers had pulled over an RV on the eastbound service road of the freeway and were sitting in their squad car, with a prisoner in the back, when they were struck from behind.

One of the officers sustained a minor leg injury. Three people in the RV and the driver of the vehicle that hit the patrol car, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
