Harris County, Texas (March 21, 2021) – One person was killed Friday night in a hit-and-run crash in northwest Harris County, according to deputies.

The deadly crash occurred around 9:00 p.m., March 19, on FM 2920 at Mueschke Road.

Deputies said a blue Chrysler 300 was traveling westbound on FM 2920 when it attempted to turn into a parking lot and was struck by an eastbound pickup truck.

The truck driver fled the scene on foot.

A passenger in the Chrysler was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Chrysler driver was airlifted to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to witnesses, the pickup driver was racing with another vehicle when he lost control and crashed into the Chrysler, but the deputies are still working to determine if this was the case.

The deputies are investigating the crash.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws or statutes which were violated.
