One Killed in Two-Car Crash on Eastex Freeway in Beaumont

One Killed in Beaumont Two-Vehicle Crash on Eastex Freeway

Beaumont, Texas (March 12, 2020) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Beaumont, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. March 11, in the 6600 block of Eastex Freeway.

Police said three people were riding in an older-model Ford when they collided with a BMW sports car occupied by one person.

One of the people in the truck was killed in the crash.

The other three people were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The crash closed the northbound lanes of Eastex Freeway and the service roads for several hours.

Motorists were asked to use Concord Road to Texas 105 or Major Drive to up to Tram Road as alternate routes.

The crash remains under investigation.
