One Killed, One Injured in Head-on Crash in East Texas

Driver Killed, Another Injured in Henderson County Head-on Crash

Henderson County, Texas (August 9, 2022) – One person was killed and another injured after their vehicles collided head-on on FM 315 in East Texas Monday evening, according to a police report.

The crash was reported around 6 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2022, on FM 315 about 1.5 miles south of Chandler in Henderson County, the Texas Department of Public Safety troopers reported.

As per the troopers, a Toyota Camry was traveling north on FM 315 when, for unknown reasons, it crossed into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a southbound Kia Sorento.

The driver of the Toyota sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. The other driver was rushed to UT Health East Texas with unknown injuries.

No additional details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
