Austin, Texas – One person was injured Wednesday morning in a pedestrian accident in Austin, according to a local news source.

The accident was reported around 10:20 a.m., on Interstate Highway 35.

According to the report, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the interstate.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed all southbound lanes of Interstate 35 at Cesar Chavez Street.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
