Man Killed in Leander Auto-Pedestrian Accident on Crystal Falls Parkway at Southwest Drive
Leander, Texas (March 9, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday night in Leander, police said.
The horrific accident happened at about 7:15 p.m. Friday, March 8 on Crystal Falls Parkway at Southwest Drive.
According to the police, the pedestrian was walking southbound on Crystal Falls Parkway at Southwest Drive when he attempted to cross an area that was not well lit and was not marked as a crosswalk.
Police said a 2005 Pontiac then hit the man.
The unidentified man died at the scene. His name has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
The driver of the Pontiac remained at the scene and complied with police.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
