At Least 1 Critically Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash on Highway 69 in Tyler

At Least One Person Hospitalized after Tyler Crash on Highway 69 near County Road 490

Tyler, Texas (April 21, 2022) – At least one person was critically injured Thursday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Tyler, authorities said.

The wreck happened at about 11:00 a.m. on Highway 69, just north of County Road 490.

According to the authorities, one vehicle was heading northbound on Highway 69 when it rear-ended another car that was also traveling northbound.

Due to the impact, the rear-ended vehicle veered into the southbound lane and was struck by a third vehicle.

At least one patient was transported to a nearby hospital in critical. Authorities said the victim was admitted to ICU at the hospital.

All southbound and northbound lanes of Highway 69 were blocked following the wreck. Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.

The crash remains under investigation.
