Petra Zamorano Killed in Lower Valley Pedestrian Accident on Alameda Avenue

Lower Valley, Texas (March 13, 2021) – An elderly woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident Sunday night in El Paso’s Lower Valley, according to police.

The deadly accident happened just after 8:00 p.m., March 7, in the 8300 block of Alameda Avenue.

Police said Petra Zamorano, 92, was crossing the street from the southbound curb to the northbound curb when she was struck by a westbound car. She was also struck by another vehicle.

The westbound car fled the scene heading westbound on Troy towards Yarbrough.

The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene after the accident.

Zamorano was pronounced dead at the scene.

The authorities are looking for the suspect vehicle which was described as a gray or silver Chrysler PT Cruiser.
