Phillip Garippo ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in San Antonio Crash on Loop 410 near New Braunfels Avenue Off-Ramp
San Antonio, Texas (April 20, 2019) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday morning in San Antonio has been identified as Phillip Garippo, 26, according to authorities.
The tragic accident happened at around 6:30 a.m. Thursday, April 18 on Loop 410 near the exit for New Braunfels Avenue off Loop 410.
Authorities said Garippo was in the roadway acting erratically when he entered into the line of traffic and at least five cars hit him.
Garippo was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
The crash remains under investigation.
