Pilot Hurt in Fredericksburg Plane Crash near FM 2323 and Cherry Spring Road

Fredericksburg, Texas (May 30, 2019) – A pilot was injured when a plane crashed in Fredericksburg Wednesday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The wreck happened at about 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, near FM 2323 and Cherry Spring Road.
DPS said one person was on board the single-engine vintage Boeing Stearman biplane when it lost engine power and crashed shortly after takeoff from an airstrip.
The pilot was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The FAA is investigating the wreck.
