Sofia Rocha, Kayla Rocha and Mauricio Rocha ID’d as 3 Young Siblings Killed in Laredo Crash at Cuatro Vientos and Agua-Nieve Drive

Laredo, Texas (July 26, 2023) – Authorities have identified the three young siblings who died following a three-vehicle collision on Monday evening at an intersection in Laredo as Sofia Rocha, 6, Kayla Rocha, 7, Mauricio Rocha, 9. They were students at Centeno Elementary School.

According to the Laredo Police Department, the tragic accident took place near the intersection of Cuatro Vientos and Agua-Nieve Drive on July 24.

Police said a Chevy Traverse SUV, a red Toyota Rav 4 and a white Ford Expedition were involved in the crash. Details on what led up to the accident were not immediately available.

Three occupants of the SUV, now identified as Sofia Rocha, Kayla Rocha, Mauricio Rocha, were killed in the crash.

The driver of the SUV, Sarai Juarez, 30, was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

A 4-year-old boy and three young adults who were in the Toyota sustained critical injuries. The driver of the Ford, that’s vehicle solo occupant, was not injured.

Further details were not immediately provided.The crash remains under investigation.
