Ramon Ramirez Killed in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident near 50th and Frankford Avenue

Lubbock, Texas (May 22, 2022) – A man was killed early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Lubbock, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just before 2:00 a.m., May 21, in a parking lot near 50th and Frankford Avenue.

Police said Ramon Ramirez, 45, had gotten into a physical altercation in the parking lot of a business where he was injured. Following the altercation, Ramirez was then struck by a vehicle.

Ramirez was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. 

The driver of the vehicle which hit Ramirez fled the scene after the accident.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
