Rene Fuegos Diaz Killed in League City Two-Vehicle Crash at FM 646 and West Walker Street
League City, Texas (December 22, 2020) – A man was killed and a woman was arrested following a DUI crash that happened on December 12 at a League City intersection, according to police.
The fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m., at the intersection of FM 646 and West Walker Street.
Police said Jacqueline Norton, 35, ran a red light at the intersection and broadsided another vehicle driven by Rene Fuegos Diaz, 57, of Dickinson.
Diaz was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers said Norton had crashed into a sign at the entrance of the Mar Bella subdivision shortly before the fatal crash.
Norton was arrested for DUI and was released after posting an $80,000 bond.
The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission said it was investigating a League City bar in connection to the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
