Vanessa Kaye Fretz Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on FM 730 in Tarrant County

42-Year-Old Vanessa Kaye Fretz Killed in Tarrant County Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on FM 730

Tarrant County, Texas (April 21, 2020) – The 42-year-old woman who was killed in an alleged hit-and-run accident early Saturday morning in Tarrant County has been identified as Vanessa Kaye Fretz, of Azle, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

The deadly accident was reported around 12:54 a.m., April 18, on FM 730 near Reed Road.

Authorities said Fretz, who was wearing blue jeans and a gray and black shirt, was walking along the side of the roadway when she was struck by an unknown vehicle.

Fretz was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver fled the scene after the accident, and the authorities are looking for the suspect.

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call investigator M. Womack at 817-238-4244 or TCSO at 817-884-1213.
