Ricky Gomez Killed in Martin County Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 176 and FM 3033

Martin County, Texas – One person was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash at a Martin County intersection, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened on February 19, at the intersection of SH 176 and FM 3033.

DPS said 24-year-old Ricky Martin Gomez from Laveen, AZ., was driving a 2015 Ford Fiesta northbound on FM 3033 while 45-year-old Miguel Angel Dominguez, of Snyder, was driving a 2023 GMC 2500 westbound on SH 176.

Gomez disregarded a stop sign at the intersection and was struck by Dominguez.

Gomez, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
