Rider Killed in Motorcycle Accident on FM 429 in Terrell

66-Year-Old Rider Killed in Terrell Motorcycle Crash on FM 429

Terrell, Texas (August 1, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash that occurred on Sunday afternoon in Terrell, according to a police report.

The incident happened at about 3:37 p.m. Sunday, July 28, in the 500 block of North FM 429.

Police said a woman was riding a 2018 Indian motorcycle southbound on FM 429 behind a 2014 Harley Davidson. The two tried to overtake a slower-moving vehicle but as the front rider saw an oncoming vehicle, he decided to slow down to get back into the southbound lane.

In the process, the second rider was unable to slow down in time and struck the front motorcycle. This caused the woman to lose control of the motorcycle.

The woman was transported to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where she was pronounced deceased on Tuesday, July 30.

The police are investigating the incident.
