Roanoke Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on E Southlake Boulevard in Southlake

24-Year-Old Roanoke Man Killed, Passenger Seriously Injured in Southlake Motorcycle Crash on E Southlake Boulevard and Kimball Avenue

Southlake, Texas (August 7, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed and a passenger was seriously injured in a traffic collision Friday evening in Southlake, according to the Southlake Police Department.

The deadly crash happened at about 5:45 p.m. Friday, August 5, at the intersection of E. Southlake Blvd and Kimball Avenue.

A 24-year-old Roanoke man was riding a motorcycle on Southlake Boulevard at a high rate of speed when he entered the intersection and crashed into the front passenger side of an SUV.

Paramedics responded to the scene and performed CPR on the motorcyclist. He was transported to Baylor Grapevine hospital, where he was declared dead at 6:38 p.m. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

A female passenger in the SUV suffered serious, potentially life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
