Robyn Judd Killed in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash at Spur 327 and Frankford Avenue

Lubbock, Texas (March 30, 2021) – A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash earlier this month in Lubbock, according to the police.

The crash happened just after 6:00 a.m., March 16, at the intersection of the Spur 327 westbound access road and Frankford Avenue.

Police said a Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Austin Beaudoin, 21, was traveling westbound in the 5700 block of the Spur 327 access road while a Hyundai Elantra was traveling northbound in the 5900 block of Frankford Avenue.

The vehicles then collided at the intersection.

The impact pushed the Elantra, and it struck a pedestrian signal light along the northwest corner of the intersection.

The Elantra driver, Robyn Judd, 29, was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries, where she later died.

Judd was a graduate student in the J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual and Performing Arts. She also served Frenship ISD as assistant band director for Frenship Middle School.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
