Rodolfo Lopez-Ramirez Killed in Ector County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 302

Ector County, Texas (September 17, 2021) – The man who was killed in a head-on collision Sunday afternoon in Ector County has been identified as Rodolfo Lopez-Ramirez, 32, of Kermit, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 10:10 p.m., September 12, on State Highway 302, 16 miles west of Odessa.

DPS said a Buick was traveling westbound on the highway when it crossed the center median and crashed head-on into a Dodge Durango.

Lopez-Ramirez was taken to Medical Center Hospital, where he later died. 

The Buick driver was also taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
