Shemikia Brown, Kyah, Peyton and Justice Killed; Aubree Injured in Livingston Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 146

Livingston, Texas (November 11, 2023) – A mother and her three children were killed Thursday night in a head-on collision in Livingston, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened just after 10:00 p.m., November 9, on Highway 146 near Millgate Road.

DPS said a Buick was traveling southbound while a GMC Sierra was traveling northbound. The Buick crossed over into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into the GMC.

The Buick driver, Shemikia Brown, 34, along with her three children, Kyah, 13; Peyton, 11; and Justice, 2, were killed in the crash. Another one of Brown’s children, Aubree, 6, was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The GMC driver, Joshua Gorman, 30, was uninjured in the crash.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help pay for hospital bills and funeral expenses.

The crash remains under investigation.
