Simon Velez Killed in North Austin Pedestrian Accident on Anderson Lane

Austin, Texas (May 18, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed Sunday afternoon in a hit-and-run accident in North Austin, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 4:19 p.m., May 15, in the 2200 block of E. Anderson Lane EB.

Police said evidence suggests a vehicle hit Simon Juan Velez. 

Velez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police are investigating the crash.
