Stephen Foster Killed in Semi-Truck Crash on I-20 in Ward County

Stephen Foster Killed in Ward County Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20

Ward County, Texas (August 10, 2021) – A man was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Ward County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:30 p.m., August 8, on Interstate 20, near mile marker 72.

DPS said a man was driving a 2020 Freightliner semi-truck eastbound on the interstate while Stephen Z. Foster, 31, of Midland, was driving a 2019 Ford F-250 behind the semi-truck.

The semi-truck driver slowed down as he approached a vehicle with emergency lights activated and was rear-ended by the Ford.

Foster was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
