Fernando Rodriguez Seriously Injured in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident on University Avenue

Lubbock, Texas (March 22, 2021) – The pedestrian who was seriously injured Saturday night after being hit by a vehicle in Lubbock has been identified as 21-year-old Fernando Rodriguez, according to police.

The accident happened on March 19, in the 1000 block of University Avenue.

Police said Rodriguez was attempting to cross the street from eastbound to westbound when he was hit by a northbound Ford F-250.

Rodriguez was taken to UMC with serious injuries.

No other details regarding the crash were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
